The IPL has officially announced the schedule for the upcoming three editions. The 18th edition of the tournament will commence on March 14 and come to an end on May 25.
According to an ESPNcricinfo report, the 19th season of the IPL will begin on March 15 and end on May 31, while the 2027 edition is scheduled from March 14 to May 30. Although the IPL has referred to these dates as windows, it is expected that the tournament will proceed without any significant changes to the schedule.
The latest update comes just days before the IPL 2025 mega auction, scheduled to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24 (Sunday) and November 25 (Monday). According to the report, players from Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Zimbabwe will be fully available for the 2025 IPL season.
The upcoming edition of the cash-rich league will take place after the ICC Champions Trophy concludes. However, there is still uncertainty regarding whether the ICC will host the entire tournament in Pakistan or opt for a hybrid model.
