Last year, Indian cricket legend Harbhajan Singh shocked fans when he revealed that he had not communicated with his former teammate MS Dhoni in over ten years. Despite sharing numerous victories together, such as the 2007 World T20 and the 2011 ODI World Cup under Dhoni's captaincy, the two have apparently drifted apart. Harbhajan chose not to delve into the details of their alleged rift when making this revelation.

It seems that the two are on friendly terms, as a viral video from a recent event they both attended suggests. The footage, which quickly spread on social media, shows Dhoni and Harbhajan sitting down at the function. In the clip, both are seen in high spirits, with Dhoni even assisting Harbhajan by pulling out a chair for him, while the former bowler reacts awkwardly.

The video left fans stunned, prompting many to flood social media with harsh comments and trolling messages aimed at Harbhajan.

Here is the viral video and what fans had to say:

You know what’s the best part ?

MS Dhoni knows what kind of character Harbhajan is , and he still doesn’t care and treats him the same way.

He doesn’t bother about anyone let anyone bother him.

Harbhajan had previously made the comment during an interview with News18, stating that aside from their on-field conversations, they hadn’t spoken in over ten years. The last time they played together for India was in 2015, although they did come together again three years later to feature in a few seasons for CSK.

He said, “No, I don’t speak to Dhoni. When I was playing at CSK, that’s when we spoke, but otherwise, we haven’t spoken. It’s been 10 years and more. I have no reason; perhaps he does. I don’t know what the reasons are. When we were playing in the IPL at CSK, that’s when we used to talk, and that, too, was restricted to the ground. After that, he did not come to my room, nor did I go to his.”

The ex-cricketer also mentioned that he bore no ill feelings toward Dhoni. “I don’t have anything against him. If he has something to say, he can tell me. But if he did, he would have told me by now. I never tried to call him because I have a lot of passion. I only ring up those who pick up my calls. I don’t have the time otherwise. I stay in touch with the ones I am friends with. A relationship is always about give and take. If I respect you, I hope you will respect me back. Or you respond to me. But if I call you once or twice but don’t get a response, I will probably only meet you as much as I am needed to,” he added.

When Dhoni took over as captain, it was evident that his focus was on building a squad for the long term, with the 2015 World Cup in mind. As a result, Harbhajan did not align with the team’s strategy and would have been 35 by that time. Furthermore, after the 2011 World Cup, Harbhajan featured in only 10 ODIs, six T20Is, and eight additional Test matches.
