New Delhi: Vinod Kambli, the former Indian cricketer, has recently made headlines due to his deteriorating health. In a recent plea to the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA), Kambli requested for employment as he is currently facing financial difficulties. Despite receiving a monthly pension of Rs 30,000 from BCCI, the retired cricketer is struggling to make ends meet. Since retiring from cricket, Kambli has tried his hand at acting and reality shows but has not found much success in the entertainment industry. His health issues have added to his challenges, leading to concerns for his well-being.

Vinod Kambli entered ‘Bigg Boss Season 3’ as a ‘wild card contestant’. Vinod Kambli entered the house in the 5th week of Bigg Boss. But in just 14 days, he was eliminated from Amitabh Bachchan’s reality show. Actually, 15 years ago, not Salman Khan, but Amitabh Bachchan used to host the country’s biggest controversial show. Vinod Kambli was paid a fee of 1.5 to 2 lakh rupees every week for participating in this show. Even though this fee was much higher than the actors who participated in the show at that time, but this fee was very less compared to cricketer S Sreesanth.

Sreesanth used to get 50 lakh rupees:
If sources are to be believed, Sreesanth used to get 50 lakh rupees every week for participating in Bigg Boss. Sreesanth stayed in this show till the finale, but Sreesanth’s entry happened in season 12 of Bigg Boss. At that time, not Amitabh Bachchan, but Salman Khan was hosting this show.

Why did Vinod Kambli get less fees?
Talking about Sreesanth and Vinod Kambli, when Vinod Kambli got the offer of Big Boss, he had left cricket and was struggling in acting. This is the reason why he agreed to join Big Boss even after taking less fees. On the other hand, Big Boss had become a big brand during Sreesanth’s time and Sreesanth had rejected this show many times. This is the reason why he was persuaded to join this show by offering more money.

A big difference between Vinod Kambli and Sreesanth’s Big Boss season is that till the 10th season of Big Boss, the contestants were given less fees. But the winner used to get a prize money of one crore. Then after season 10, the amount given to the winner was made 50 lakh rupees and the fees of the contestants participating in the show were increased and Sreesanth benefited from this.
