With over 5,000 players in NBA history, at least one player was born on every day of the calendar year – including three leap day ballers. Our day-by-day breakdown of the players born on each day of the year continues.

Below are the most notable NBA players born on Nov 6.

Lamar Odom (1979)

Most people talk about Kobe Bryant when they talk about the 2010 Los Angeles Lakers championship team, but Odom was one of their most valuable players. He was the first player off the bench for that team, and has an NBA Sixth Man of the Year award in his trophy case.

It all started when he was taken fourth overall in the 1999 NBA Draft directly out of high school. He finished third in Rookie of the Year voting in his debut season and spent his first four years with the LA Clippers. He spent one year with the Miami Heat and then joined the Lakers in 2004 as part of a monstrous Shaquille O’Neal trade. He won two rings playing for the Lakers and closed his career with the Clippers in 2013. The versatile big man averaged 13.3 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.9 blocks throughout his 14-year career.
