Barrett, according to the team, has a sprained right acromioclavicular joint, which is located at the top of the shoulder where the collarbone meets the shoulder blade. He sustained the injury during the second quarter of Toronto’s 125-98 victory over the Washington Wizards. Despite the injury, Barrett managed to lead the Raptors with 17 points, shooting an impressive 7-for-10 from the field.
Last season, Barrett averaged 21.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game for the Raptors. He is a key part of Toronto’s core, which also includes All-Star forward/guard Scottie Barnes and guard Immanuel Quickley. Toronto opens its regular season on Oct. 23 vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers (7:30 ET, NBA League Pass).
